May

We had some fun in May!
The sun came out for a bit.
Hannah and Ashton having fun on their scooters. (Ashton borrowed Ben's)  Ash doesn't really know how to ride one, but he can scoot a bit.
We had a great time at a local park. It was so pretty out and not many people were around. His favorite thing at a park is still the swing, but after some convincing we climbed a bit then went back to the swings. Climbed some more and went back to the swings.  He sure loves swings!

Ashton wasn't feeling well this day, and I wanted to go out and enjoy the sun.  He still fits in the stroller but barely. We were able to run to his school one beautiful morning. He enjoyed watching all the school buses pass by.

Received another swim card this month!  He is loving it and getting good!  His next session starts tomorrow.

Ben and Ashton got a hair cut at the same time. It was adorable!

Looking good after that hair cut! They gave Ashton a blue sucker afterwards. He enjoyed it very much and it turned his whole mouth blue.

Ashton met Elmo at the Children's museum with some of his class friends.

Ashton finished his Mini-Sports camp. He some how ended up with two certificates. It was a fun camp. Perhaps he will start back up in the fall.

Sunny day in the grass. Although we wonder if he has an allergic reaction to grass. A few times he has had some hives and it seems to be those days we went outside and played in it.  Just speculation and no facts, but something to keep an eye out for.

We prepared Ashton for "Star Wars"!  We let him watch the very first original movie that we grew up on, but made sure he knew the characters first so he could follow along. Luckily I still had a book I bought Ben when he was 2 years old.

Mark and Ben hit for a while at Jackson High School, then all three kids had a bit of fun too. Ashton really wanted Ben and Hannah to be with him while he was playing.

Ashton's first Baseball Practice with his team was tonight!

That is his coach on the left and a few of his team players.  The very tall boy in green behind the coach is just a brother and son of the coach. He is only helping. This team Ashton is on is for 3 and 4 year olds.

He looked so cute with his helmet on.

His helmet kept slipping off his head. But what a cutie-pie!

 And last by not least...
Handsome Ben
He had to dress up for his Marketing class. Apparently there wasn't a function going on for it, but his teacher gave extra credit points to anyone who dressed up that day.

Art Show

Once again Hannah's artistic abilities shine through in school.  Her teacher selected one of her pieces to be exhibited at the 14th Annual Middle School Art Show!  The art show is just at the Everett District building. A bunch of kids art is on the wall, but as soon as you walk in the doors, it was right out in front. Fun to see displayed! Talented girl!

With Hannah's busy schedule, she isn't able to go see it, but we took tons of photos for her.

Happy Birthday Hannah!

Our beautiful Hannah turns 14 today!
Amazing how time has gone so fast. My cute little baby is growing up.
One of many adorable photos of Hannah when she was a little girl! She has always been so cute!

She loves soccer!
We had a great family party to celebrate.
Hannah's favorite birthday cake. The famous 5 layer (I turned this one into 6 layers) Chocolate Chip Cookie cake that takes hours to make.  Well worth it. A delicious choice Hannah!

This morning we all sat down before school and work to have some delicious crepes and spend time wishing Hannah a Happy Birthday start to her day!
Birthday card from Ashton
One of the first mornings that Ben isn't rushing off to school. I did write him a note to be late because we were having such a nice breakfast with Hannah.
Loving her new clothes and her new bracelet! Heading off to school this morning happy for the day!

Hannah made this in art class

ASHTON THIS PAST WEEK:

Ashton is back into trains again.  When we left to Hawaii we didn't pack one train.  He seemed to be playing less with them at that point.  We got home and our red carpet was free of toys for a good week. Then he wanted the blue train track set up. (The one we gave him for his 3rd birthday that he plays with on an occasion)  He is now full force back into Thomas!  Not really sure how it happened, but he can play with them all day long if I let him.  I have to talk him into other things throughout the day.

My mom and dad bought Ashton this Ice cream cone at Mukilteo beach a couple weekends ago. The weather was beautiful.  I must admit this is really his first true ice cream cone that he has held and eaten. I am more of a cup and spoon mom. Who really wants to clean up the mess after an ice cream cone?  But he loved it! The next weekend he wanted one again when we went out to celebrate Grandpa's birthday.

Every 4 weeks is swim card day!  He is still on level 2, but he is doing awesome. He loves to go swimming!
At Hannah's soccer game, Ashton was getting cold.  We told him if he ran around the track he would be warm.  So he did one time.  Then played soccer in the grass. Then he ran the track a second time. Then he played at the nearby park.  Then he ran a 3rd time and played soccer some more. He wanted to race and do some sprints then he ran his 4th lap around the track before going home.  He went well over a mile that day!  Where does he get the energy? :)
